This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

Join us this Sunday as we witness the baptism of three who have trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Baptism serves to declare through symbolic means the miraculous intervention of God in the lives of those who trust Him. Baptism pictures that the redeemed have been united together with Jesus Christ, having been “buried … with Him by baptism into death … for if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His” (Romans 6:4, 5; Ephesians 2:1-10). In preparation for witnessing these baptisms, we will note the Gospel of John’s emphasis on life (used 47 times). This life—ultimately, eternal life—comes from God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, and is applied by God the Spirit. Do you have this life?

“For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:21–24)

Each week we'll include a list of songs we plan to sing during our time of corporate worship. We hope this helps you prepare for our Sunday gatherings.
