Sunday Preview 05.13.18

This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

While our lives are filled with joys and successes, they are also filled with griefs and failures. These ups and downs of life can really exercise our emotional makeup, and yet God calls His children to a higher spiritual condition. The Bible commands the followers of Jesus Christ to "rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4a). But how can we rejoice when our loved ones die? How can we rejoice when we are diagnosed with cancer? How can we rejoice when making ends meet is so difficult? When we recognize that there is also a spiritual realm of this current life and an eternity beyond our current existence, we are able to step back from the immediate and consider the eternal. And when the source of our joy is unchanging and eternal, its expression can also be unchanging and eternal. Let us, by God’s grace, learn to see our experience of this life through the lens of our glorious, joyful, eternal, and intimate God.

Sunday Songs

Each week we'll include a list of songs we plan to sing during our time of corporate worship. We hope this helps you prepare for our Sunday gatherings.
