This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

There is no savior, no high priest, and no friend that compares with Jesus. He stands alone as the Holy, Perfect, Humble, Obedient Savior and High Priest. He is unique in His nature as the God-Man; He is unique in His role as King-Priest; and He is unique in the eternality of His ministry.

He humbled Himself in innumerable ways. When He placed Himself in the vulnerable position of crying in the hearing of His Father in the Garden, He subjected Himself to the will of the Father and was obedient to the very end. When Jesus brings a sacrificial offering on our behalf, He does not bring our broken, flawed, reproachable obedience, but His perfect, flawless, eternal righteousness. In coming to place ourselves under the hearing of our High Priest, we find a perfect righteousness provided for us resulting in eternal salvation. This One who speaks forgiveness and life to us is worthy of our attentive listening. May our good God produce reverent hearing and fruit in our lives because of the eternal salvation freely given to us!
