This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

God pronounced to Moses who He is in a stunning scene in Exodus 34: "The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, 'The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.'" As the Bible progresses, God's character is progressively unveiled. Among the many perfections of God that impress us, God's patient endurance with our sin stands out as remarkable. The greatest demonstration of God's patience with humanity is that "in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins" ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭3:25‬). This characteristic of God is demonstrated in His people when they are walking in fellowship with His Spirit. In this way, God's people are putting God on display in the world today.
