This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

Oppression (vv. 1-3), envy (vv. 4-6), vulnerability (vv. 7-12), and popularity (vv. 13-16) are some of the disadvantages Solomon associates with living without sharing life (Ecclesiastes 4). It is clear that Solomon became aware that life is better with friends. His thoughts should press our minds further. We are refreshed by the reality that Jesus is a friend of sinners (Luke 7:34), that He has called us friends (John 15:13-15), that He is a faithful friend (Heb. 13:5), and that this friendship results in our eternal salvation. As Jesus' friends, it is incumbent upon us to share that friendship with one another (Eph. 4:1-3; John 13:34-35). Further, the world around us is in desperate need of this kind of friendship (Luke 10:25-37) which reflects the gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us this Sunday as we continue our study of the book of Ecclesiastes.
