Sunday Preview 03.15.20

This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

Sin has been plaguing people from the time of Adam and Eve. As God told Cain, sin will attempt to rule over us. Paul, in Romans 3:9-20, will teach us of sin’s controlling power, universal corruption, pervasive influence, and its terrible impact. He will unveil what is the root cause of sin—"there is no fear of God before their eyes" (3:18). He will also convey the terrifying result of man’s sinfulness—we are "held accountable to God" (3:19). Before a full unfolding of the glories of the gospel (3:21-8:39), Paul will ensure our understanding of the law’s capability (3:20). The law does not justify, but simply exposes our sin. Before we truly understand the gospel, we must be vulnerable. Whether we know it or not, we are vulnerable because we are sinners who will give an account to God. The good news is that Jesus Christ has died as a satisfying atonement for sin, and He was raised to declare righteous all who repent and believe the gospel! Join us this Sunday as we continue our study of the book of Romans.

Sunday Songs

Each week we'll include a list of songs we plan to sing during our time of corporate worship. We hope this helps you prepare for our Sunday gatherings.
