Sunday Preview 05.05.19
This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...
When we think that all of life's matters are under our control, there is an unbearable weight that presses down on us. If we think that blessing and trouble rest upon whether we act in certain ways, our view of life will be distorted and we will be very frustrated. Solomon clearly states that no one can fully grasp the way life works (Eccl. 8:16-17), but it is certain that all of life is under the care of our sovereign God (Eccl. 9:1). Since there is no way to control blessing and trouble, we are urged to live our lives productively before our time is up (for then we can accomplish no more) (Eccl. 9:2-6). In the midst of the toil, we are commanded to enjoy the gracious gifts of God, for this enjoyment will prepare us to fulfill our tasks with all of our strength (Eccl. 9:7-10). A critical question arises from this section: Will God accept me? We will endeavor to answer this in the course of our study. Come join us as we worship God in song, the study of His Word, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Sunday Songs
Each week we'll include a list of songs we plan to sing during our time of corporate worship. We hope this helps you prepare for our Sunday gatherings.
