This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

Many love to quibble over controversial matters. A quick scan through social media reveals the combative spirit of this age; however, this spirit runs deeper than our current generation. God warns His people about wasting time with endless debates that result in harm rather than good (1 Timothy 6:20; 2 Timothy 2:19; 4:3-4; Titus 1:14; 3:9). In Romans 14, God uses Paul to call the church to welcome one another without a desire to argue, despise, or judge one another. In welcoming others, our task is not to have a sparring partner concerning questionable differences, but rather a brother with whom we can pursue Christlikeness (Proverbs 27:17; Philippians 3:12-17). A main motivating factor for this willing welcome is our new relationship with God that has resulted from being justified. Come join us on Sunday as we begin a short series on Romans 14.
